What is Employee Self onboarding?


- Employee self-onboarding is a process where new hires complete many of the onboarding tasks themselves, usually through the MoveInSync Portal by clicking on the sign up here button visible on the login page.



Steps to Perform Employee self onboarding:


1    Employee need to click on the “sign up here”

2    Click on the “Send Link” Option

3    Upon clicking on the Send Link, a registration Link will be sent on the registered email address

4    Please check your Inbox and proceed with next steps.In case you are not able to find the link on the email,Please check your spam folder.

5    Once you receive the link on the registered email address please click on the link to begin with the registration process

6    Upon clicking the link, a form will appear in which all mandatory information like [Employee Name*, Employee ID*, Email ID*, Mobile Number*, Gender*, Project*] needs to be filled and there would be some other fields as well to be filled.

7    After filling all information, click on “ Submit”

8    Once you click submit a new page will appear stating that your registration request has been successfully submitted for approval.

9    Once the approval is done from the transport team, the profile will be created.


Current limitations:

    Works when SSO sign in is via email only

    We only allows user who uses the specific domains

    Once an employee creates a profile on web – it goes for approval

 

    Employee is not able to login without approval via web but is able to login via mobile app


Employee onboard approval link – in dashboard & team manager page

On the Dashboard page, in the bottom right corner, there is an option called “Employee Onboard Approval.”

Clicking on “Employee Onboard Approval” will take you to the Employee Onboarding Approval page.

There, you will see a list of pending account approvals. Once the transport team approves a request by clicking the green checklist, the employee's profile will be created.

After approval, the employee will be able to log in.



Questions Employees May Ask About Self-Onboarding:



1    Where can I find the self-onboarding option on the portal?

→ You can find the “Sign up here” link on the MoveInSync login page. Click on it to start the onboarding process.

2    What should I do if I didn’t receive the registration link in my email?

→ First, check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, make sure the email address you entered is correct. If you still don’t receive it, please contact the transport team for support.

3    Why am I not able to log in after completing the self-onboarding form?

→ Your profile needs to be approved by the transport team before you can log in on the web portal. You can log in via the mobile app, but only after your profile is created.

4    How does the transport team approve my profile?

→ On the Dashboard page (bottom right corner), there is an option called “Employee Onboard Approval.” The transport team can go there, review pending requests, and approve profiles by clicking the green checklist.

5    What are the limitations of the self-onboarding process?

 

    It only works with email-based SSO

    Doesn’t support Employee ID or other non-email formats

    Only specific email domains are allowed

    Web login is blocked until approval

    Self-onboarding is only available through the web, not the mobile app


6    Can I use the portal right after submitting the form?

→ No, you need to wait until your profile is approved to log in on the web. You may still be able to log in via the mobile app.

7    Can I edit my profile after submitting it?

→ No, once submitted, changes can only be made by contacting the transport team.

8    Is this process available on the mobile app too?

→ No, self-onboarding can only be done through the web portal.
